“Wizkid Is An Upcoming Artiste In America” – Gospel Singer; Lanre Teriba Declares

Nigerian gospel singer Lanre Teriba disclosed in an interview he had with a TV station that Artist Wizkid is an up and coming artiste in the United States of America.

The gospel singer who has gone awol for a very long time in the gospel music scene made the shocking revelation which has awakened a lot of fury among the Starboy fans.

Lanre Teriba said that each time he visits the United States, the citizens in country always feel like Nigerian music is inferior and therefore look down on nigerian artistes. He said we can’t apportion a large blame to them because it is Nigerians who made them feel that way.

“The way these people (Americans) see us is ridiculous. For Instance, they see Wizkid as an up and coming artiste over there and you can blame them, we are the ones who have given them that impression.”

Nigerian Superstar, Wizkid Appears On Beyonce’s Forthcoming Album

Nigerian superstar Artist ; Wizkid, will be appearing on Beyonce’s forthcoming album set for release in the summer.

We brought you news yesterday about a Nigerian producer, Kiddominat making Beyonce’s forthcoming album and we were really excited that afrobeats is finally playing a major role in world music. Another afrobeats artiste will be appearing yet again in the songstress album and it is no other than starboy Wizkid.

The singer has been listed as one of the artistes that would make the 40-track album which is set to hit the whole world very soon.

The tracklist for the forthcoming album found a way to social media by an unknown source even though Beyonce and team never wanted it to be publicised just yet.

This won’t be the first time Wizkid will be appearing on Beyonce’s project as he did appear in an E.P the beautiful singer released back in 2017. The song which was on the E.P was titled “Yonce Riddim”

Olamide Appointed A Member Of Ogun State Government Committee

Olamide has been named in Ogun State Governor-Elect, Dapo Abiodun’s economic transition committee.

The economic transition committee is made up of 10 counterparts which include government processes, governance and structures, education, youth and sport, health and social services, physical infrastructure, finance, ease of doing business, agriculture and food safety, commerce and industry, and special projects.

The “Wokse” singer is set to work alongside 27 members in the Commerce and Industry section of the committee and would begin his duties when the governor-elect is sworn in.

The governor-elect took to his Instagram page to share the news.

“Follow Them To Their Station Rather Than Argue With Them” – Olamide Advises Nigerians Over Police Issues

YBNL boss, Olamide has given words of advice to Nigerians regarding the way they handle situations when they get in a misunderstanding with officers of the Nigerian Police Force through his social media platform as well as advice the police also to stop brutalising innocent citizens.

Olamide who just released a new song titled “Spirit” alongside a crisp video took to his Twitter page to advice Nigerians that they should be very careful and sensitive when they have any issue with the police due to the incessant killings of innocent citizens by the men in black.

He stated that safeguarding one’s life is what is most important, therefore one should do everything possible to abstain from an argument that will lead to violence with them. He also adviced that it is important to follow them to their stations if that is their wish, rather than getting embroiled in serious arguments that might lead to loss of lives.

He also admonished the police to act better when addressing issues with the people, telling them to stop killing innocent citizens as it would add to the problems in their lives.“What is really going on,what is the way forward with this killing and police brutality ? It’s increasing everyday and I feel ashamed cause I know we all can do better

“And for you oga police,no matter what you are going through just know taking an innocent life won’t solve your problem but add to your burden . We all can do better

“Everyone out there please try and be safe .. there’s nothing more important in life than keeping yourself alive . I think it’s better you follow them to station than get into unnecessary argument that might lead to violence. We all can do better,” he wrote.

 

Troops kill 6, arrest 18 others, including the village head

Troops have killed six bandits in various clearance operations in Zamfara villages and arrested 18 of their informants, including a village head.

The Acting Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sagir Musa, confirmed this in a statement on Monday.

Musa said that the operations in which the bandits were neutralised took place on Saturday in Kirsa and Sunke villages in Anka Local Government Area as well as in Doka and Mutu villages in Gusau Local Government Area of the state.

He added that two AK 47 rifles, two dane guns, five motorcycles, and two machetes were recovered from the suspects.

Musa quoted Maj.-Gen. Hakeem Otiki, the Force Commander, Operation Harbin Kunama III, as restating the resolve of troops to tackle banditry and other forms of criminality in Zamfara and surrounding states. (NAN)
